Information Management Certificate Program

While many organizations have IT staff who support fleet operations, fleet professionals benefit from understanding fundamental information technology concepts. This knowledge enables them to communicate effectively with IT and other support teams, troubleshoot issues, make informed technology decisions, and maximize the value of fleet systems and data.

This discipline provides fleet professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to work effectively in a data-rich, but sometimes information-poor, environment. Participants will learn how to better use available technologies to manage information, support decision-making, and improve fleet operations.

Topics include Fleet Management Information Systems, fleet system selection and implementation, telematics, data management and system administration, reporting and data analysis, and a new chapter focused on artificial intelligence (AI).

Course includes:

  • Information Management Digital Guidebook and Study Guide (sent starting March 29, 2027).
  • Online Exam: First sitting is included. Additional sittings may be purchased if needed.
  • A certificate will be awarded to all participants who pass the online exam by April 7, 2028.
